| Essential Duties | The successful candidate will teach Organic Chemistry in the BS Chemistry major, and Introductory Chemistry courses for Chemistry, Biology, and non-science majors. Service to the department, university, and community is expected along with a commitment to the scholarship of teaching and learning at a diverse, primarily undergraduate institution. |
| Minimum Qualifications | Applicants must have at least a master’s degree in Chemistry or related field on or before August 1, 2026. Individuals with a Ph.D. degree and/or teaching experience will be given preference. |
| Job Description Summary | Applications are invited to apply for a nine-month position in Chemistry at the Visiting Assistant Professor level beginning August 2026 in the Dept. of Sciences and Mathematics at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field. Ph.D. preferred. Any area of chemistry will be considered but experience with organic chemistry is preferred. The successful candidate will teach Organic Chemistry lecture and lab in the BS Chemistry Major, and Introductory Chemistry lecture and lab for Chemistry, Biology, and non-science majors. The successful candidate will be welcome to apply for a tenure-track position that will start in Fall 2027.
